1st - Par 5 Dogleg to the Right

The 1st Hole is a dogleg to the right, where cutting the corner rewards the big hitter with a medium to short iron to the green. But the trees are growing taller and with each passing year it gets harder to cut the corner. If big hitters are not cutting the corner they will need to use a 5 wood or an iron off the tee.

A sensible drive required to the corner point of this dogleg is the best option. Be aware of this distance as too long and you may run out of fairway, too short and you may be in the ditch. This will leave you with a straight forward 2nd shot either to go for the green or lay up for your 3rd shot. Watch out for a small ditch running along the left side of fairway about 50 yards short of green.
